Leaves are falling

The leaves are falling! In my front yard I have 3 older trees and behind them is one that is very young. The older tree’s leaves turn faster and they drop faster than the young tree. This is pretty much the scene right now in my yard. The leaves on the younger tree will hold on until the first snow it seems.

For todays card I am using the Beauty of Friendship stamp set. The card base is Basic white, 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of DSP from the Design a Daydream paper pack. 5.25 x 4. The white cardstock is 5 x 3 and I added a 1/2″ piece of copper foil along the bottom edge. The trees are stamped in Early Espresso ink, and the leaves are first stamped in Mango Melody, and then I took a sponge dauber and added Pumpkin Pie ink to the stamp and stamped on top again. Pear Pizzazz is the ink around the trees. I randomly stamped the little leave blotches with Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody ink. Attaching to the card base with dimensionals. I finished off the card with a faux Early Espresso ribbon and some brass embellishments. On the inside of the card I stamped another tree right in the center and added the leaves.

A card for any occasion, even just a note card to let someone know you were thinking about them. The leaves seem to leaving us fast now, so don’t miss out on those fall cards.
