Texture dies and Carrots
Hello Stampers!
I hope you had a great weekend. Mine involved a lot of cleaning and some grand children sitting and some stamping!! I used the Split Textures dies on this card. Have you seen these in the annual catalog on page174. They are so fun. I used the one to die cut a piece of basic white 5 x 4.25. My card base is Old Olive 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of DSP from the Flowers & More pack in the back of the Mini Catalog. What a fun pack of paper. I attached the DSP to my card base and then began stampin my carrots on to the die cut basic white piece. The carrots are a free stamp set that can be earned with any $50 purchase. I stamped the defining stamp of the carrot first in pumpkin pie ink, and then the outline of the carrot in Mango Melody ink. Makes a perfect carrot! For the carrot top, I used Pear pizzazz first and stamped the small leaf image, old olive for the more defined carrot top and pear pizzazz again for the over the top of the leaf image. Using Linen thread I made a bow and added to the bunch of carrots. For the greeting I used the small but wide stitched rectangle and die cut a piece of white cardstock. I stamped the smallest bunch of carrots in pumpkin pie ink and stamped the little carrot tops a couple times in Pear Pizzazz ink. Finished it off by stamping the greeting in black menento ink and attaching to the card with stampin dimensionals. The embellishments are from the Brushed metallic dots.
This is such a fun card, I am using it for a birthday, but it could be a not card or thinking of you. Wouldn’t it be fun to receive this in the mail.
