Send a Friend a card Day

You’ve got a Friend in Me! Yesterday was send a friend a card day. I challenged my stamp classes to mail out cards to their friends, or relatives, or just someone that could use a little sunshine. Everyone loves to receive cards in them mail. So remember we don’t need a special day, you can send them anytime.

My card today is using the cute Silly Goose stamp set on page 27 of the Mini Catalog. My card base is Balmy Blue cardstock 8.5 x 5.5. I also am using the Country Gingham DSP paper (pg 9) I cut a piece 5.5 x 2″ and attached to the front of the card base leaving just 1/8″ gap at the bottom. I then cut a piece of basic white 5.5 x 2.5 and embossed with the Raindrops embossing folder and then attached to the card base, again leaving a 1/8″ gap at the top of the card. To cover where the 2 pieces meet I used the Pale Papaya 1/2″ faux velvet trim and attached with tear tape. Using the Decorative circle punch I punched a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, and then die cut a 2″ basic white piece of cardstock. I stamped the goose in Black Memento ink and using my blends I colored in the goose and then attached to the Balmy Blue piece and using dimensionals attached to the card base. Using the smallest of the Something Fancy dies I die cut a piece of balmy blue cardstock, using the oval punch I punched out the white card stock. Stamping the greeting from the stamp set in balmy blue ink and attaching to the balmy blue piece. To attach to the card base I used stampin dimensionals. Finishing off the card with some embellishments.

If you havent gotten the Silly Goose stamp set yet, you might want to check it out. Those little geese are so cute!

Have a great day and Thank you for stopping by.

Sheryl
