Thoughtful Expressions

Hello Stampers!

I hope everyone is surviving the cold and snow. I have been busy taking care of mom, shes 85 and has dementia and now a bladder infection. Shes getting better just needed some help and TLC.

My card today is using the Thoughtful Expressions bundle, and the idea came from Susan Campfield. I saw this on her blog, and just modified it a little. Really love the make up of this card and plan to do it at my next card class.

The card base is Moody Mauve 5 1/2 x 6 and scored at 4 1/4″. Then a piece of moody mauve 1 x 5 1/2″ that I embossed with the 3D tile embossing folder and attached to the solid piece of the card base. The DSP is form the Poetic expressions designer series paper, and is 3 x 5 1/2″ that I attached to the card base front. I used the third largest die from the thoughtful expressions dies and die cut a piece of basic white cardstock and then stamped the flower image in black memento ink. Using my blends Moody Mauve LT & DK and Old Olive LT & DK to color the image. I added a piece of the Moody Mauve woven ribbon and then attached the white cardstock with stampin dimensionals. Finished it off with some In color gems.

So for the inside, I took a 1 x 5 1/4″ of the Moody Mauve cardstock and added a 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Disp and attached to the white basic cardstock 5 1/4 x 4. I stamped the greeting in Moody Mauve ink and stamped the flower/stem image in Old Olive and using my stampin blends colored it in. I did the same image on the front corner of the envelope and colored it in also. Whenever I am coloring on my envelopes I always place a piece of paper in the envelope where I am going to color so that it doesnt bleed through.

A beautiful card for any occasion and a great way to use up some of your DSP. This is a great stamp set and dies, and if you didnt like the stamp set, go for the dies. The shapes are wonderful for your images and greetins.

If you have not received the new mini catalog along with the SAB catalog, send me a message and I will be happy to get them out to you.

Stay warm and maybe you will be able to stamp?

Sheryl
