Mystery Stamping

Hello Stampers!

I hope your area did not receive the freezing rain and ice conditions that were predicted. I can take lots of snow, but really not interested in the ice.

Last night I participated in a mystery stamping event. How it works, is that you receive the dimensions for your cardstock, and Dsp ahead time so that you can have your items pre-cut. So this is what I was given

Colored cardstock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4.25 – Basic white cardstock 4 x 5.25 – Designer series paper 4 x 5.25 – cardstock or foil 1″ x 4″, – cardstock or foil 3/4″ x 3, – cardstock or foil 1/2″ x 2.75, – cardstock or foil 3/4″ x 2.5″. You can use any stamp set, inks adhesives etc.

My card base is Lost Lagoon with a piece of DSP from Softly Stippled paper, then using Wild Wheat and Lost Lagoon cardstock for my other pieces. As the event went on, we were told to emboss our pieces of cardstock, I chose the Fern 3D, and the Basic 3D embossing folders. Now attach to the card. Then decide on a greeting and stamp on to basic white paper and add some cardstock to layer it. I chose the Wonderful thoughts stamp set and stamped my image in Lost Lagoon ink and die cut with the Everyday detail dies. Then taking Lost Lagoon cardstock I die cut it also with the Everyday detail dies for my layer. Attaching with dimensionals. We were told to add an accent piece if needed to complete the card. I chose Petal Park Flowers stamp set and punch. Stamping the flowers in Lost Lagoon on basic white paper and then outline stamping them in black ink and punching them out. I arranged them and attached with stampin dimensionals. Finishing off my card I used the Blooming pearls.

What a fun event – You have no idea what your card is going to be until the directions are given and you get started assembling.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you get to stamp today.
